As the founder of Lake Studio Design + Build, Kate guides homeowners through the entire design and build process - from the first conversation to the final details - bringing clarity to the vision and calm to the complexity of construction. She believes every homeowner deserves an advocate: someone who not only manages the process, but makes it feel organized, approachable, and aligned every step of the way.

Before launching Lake Studio, Kate built her career at Target, where she developed a strong foundation in project management, operations, and client experience. That corporate background informs the way she leads projects today, bringing a level of professionalism that clients often find refreshing in the construction industry. Clear budgets, detailed timelines, proactive communication, and thoughtful planning are at the core of every project.

But while process matters, people matter more.

Kate believes the best projects begin with trust. She takes the time to truly understand how her clients live, what they value, and how they want their homes to function.
